On clicking the word 'Knowledge' from the Conceptual compiler menu, the information architect will be presented with the following screen: This screen displays three tactics used to build the enterprise's knowledge base. The build KPI/inf class matrix is rarely used but has been included for historical purposes. This matrix is built automatically during the Build information model phase. On selecting the Build information model tactic, the following screen will be displayed: The RA2 together with the CO will select a value (usually starting with the weakest) and then select a performance indicator. On doing so the following screen will be displayed: The KPI/knowledge model is built by selecting an entity in the existing knowledge base and on doing so it, together with its hierarchical dependencies, will be added to the KPI model. By selecting any entity in the Information model, additional entitles can be defined and linked to the KPI model. These new entities will be made available to other RA2s should they be working simultaneously, hence avoiding redundancies. One of the strengths of Caspar is its ability to automatically create the hierarchical link between the adult entity and its sibling. However it requires the RA2 to create a network of entitles by linking one entity to the multiple occurrences of another. This is done by selecting the Create association feature from the drop down menu after selecting the entity of interest. The following screen displays this function:
